Sunday morning (February 17, 2008)
We were intent on drinking a coffee in a famous bar on the corner of Via Chiaia and Via dei thousand.
E 'entry a couple of English tourists with a little girl and asked to have 5 miniature pastries to go. The
barwoman asked: " to eat or wear?" " wearing " said the English lady.
"At least 10 !" replied the woman behind the counter.
" but I would like only 5 " insisted the lady.
Nothing to be done.
" must take at least 10 " the unflappable girl
" sorry, I do not understand, but why please?" Mrs.
insisted "we do not have smaller containers " replied the girl behind the counter "so or 10 or nothing."
The lady agreed and went away, he kept repeating " OH MY GOD ... OH MY GOD !"
